Dr Roman Saini is an Indian educator, motivational speaker,MBBS from AIIMS and was one of the youngest IAS officers, before he resigned. Saini was previously posted as Assistant Collector in Madhya Pradesh. Roman Saini is the co-founder of Unacademy, an online portal which provides free educational content to civil service aspirants and also for other competitive examinations like SSC, Banking, GATE, CAT, JEE and teaching exams etc.
In January 2016, Saini resigned from the IAS to focus on his free education initiative Unacademy.

Early life and education
Roman Saini was born in Kotputli Town in District Jaipur, Rajasthan. He enrolled at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences for his MBBS after clearing the AIIMS entrance exam at the age of 16 in the OBC category. In 2013, at the age of 22, he cleared the Civil Services Examination in his first attempt by securing an All India Rank of 18 in the general category and became one of the youngest IAS officers in India. He resigned in 2016 before the formal completion of his training to devote more time for his free education mission, mainly through Unacademy.
